CHOOSE PURPOSE OVER PRAISE

“Deeds will not be less valiant because they are unpraised.” – J.R.R. Tolkien

In a time where everything seems to be about show business and life is driven by content, many of us are losing sight of the true purpose behind our actions.

When we do things intending to put them on display, we start caring too much about how they will be perceived.

Our work becomes shaped by others’ viewpoints, drawn from social trends or success stories around us.

But in this process, our creativity becomes blurred, and our purpose gets spoiled.

Our genuine, unique perspective hardly matters in our own work. We end up creating a mere copy of someone else’s popular work.

All of this happens because we seek praise and validation from others.

It’s time we consciously remind ourselves that praise should not be the goal. Deeds should be done solely to fulfill their primary purpose.

Even when your work is displayed on social platforms, the goal should be to provide solutions, help the community, educate those in need, entertain, stand up for causes, spread awareness, make a difference, drive positive change, and voice unspoken issues…

It’s not about getting likes, plays, followers, or societal praise, nor about feeding one’s ego with fame.

Whatever you do may not resonate with everyone, but it will matter to someone.

For example, if you educate your maid and no one else knows, she will still improve her life, contribute to her children’s upbringing, and ultimately uplift her family. Just imagine the impact and satisfaction of that contribution, whether you share it with others or not.Focus on doing your best deeds. The best deeds always reach their full potential.
