You will say, “sure, who doesn’t want a little assistant, tell me about it”
Well, I am not recommending any app here. Though such Apps are already built up so that you can store almost everything you see, read, think or experience through images, voice notes, documents, etc.
In Fact all the apps we use somehow store our likes, interests, login habits, time spent, etc
If you realize, all the apps in your handy phone, with cumulative effort can actually make a replica of your mind.
As they know everything about you. From your interests in fashion, food, travel, movies, religion, and science. They even know your relatives and emotions/priorities for them through your time spent or frequency of talk, using emoticons, etc.
Scary, right?
Still, with each passing day, we are becoming more and more dependent on such apps that assist(influence) us like our second brain.
Do we really require it?
Scientifically saying NO.
Our brain can store 2.5 petabytes meaning enough to store 300 million hours of tv shows.
The problem is not the capacity of the brain but the shrinking attention span, which is required to memories/remember things.
Ironically, this has happened due to using “Second brain” more than the actual brain. We rarely ask questions to mind. We google it, and we open emails/ files on the phone.
Before smartphones, you used to memorize 100s of telephone numbers, birthdays, addresses, and whatnot?
The bottom line:
“The use of technology should be giving you wings that you do not have, beware if it is giving you crutches by paralyzing your already strong legs’
