DROP THE ACT: EMBRACE YOUR TRUE SELF AND RECLAIM YOUR PEACE

Aren’t you tired of pretending?

Pretending of what? let me give you some instances.

😔You are so done with your type of work and seeking change, but you keep at it and tell everyone it’s your mastery.

😔You are burnt out managing the house, kids, and office work, but you don’t delegate because you love the Superwoman/man tag.

😔 You aren’t good with math, and engineering doesn’t excite you, but you continue because you fear becoming irrelevant to your friends.

😔You want to live a minimalist lifestyle, earning moderately and living peacefully, but you fear being called a “loser” if you don’t match the worldly standards of happiness in society.

😔You want to cry out your frustrations to your friends but fear exposing your weaknesses.

😔You eat at aesthetic places just to click nice pictures and share them on Instagram, but you never share pictures of roadside Chinese food that gives you soul-satisfying happiness.

This can go long… Pretending to be happy, cool, relevant, rich, and trendy has unfortunately become a part of life, more worryingly for all generations.

⏰ Being real—vulnerable and expressive, making mistakes and being apologetic, worrying and caring, getting angry and crying, eating like it’s the last day on Earth—are natural human things.

But we are invested in living picture-perfect lives: cool, less caring, and pleasing to the eye.

This not only creates a lot of pressure but adds a lot of work too.

Moreover, it takes away our true human essence and day by day, we are becoming dry mannequins.

🔑The solution is to pause and declutter the things we pretend at the cost of our peace.

🔑Next is a mindset shift: it’s okay not to be relevant to trends or the masses.

🔑And third, finding long-term, eternal happiness that isn’t dependent on others’ validation but intrinsic motivation.

If you want to stop pretending and feel powerful in your choices, take action now.
