Some situations are like the wind; no matter how hard we try, we cannot change its direction.
However, what we can do is learn how to sail against it.
Often, we put a lot of effort into changing situations—like trying to switch departments, wanting a job closer to our hometown, or canceling social events with a false excuse.
Instead, we can challenge ourselves to step out of our comfort zones.
Learn new skills, make friends in a new city, or develop social skills.
Sometimes, though, the situation itself can be the problem. For example, if there is a water shortage throughout the city, you can adapt by changing your water usage habits.
If you have a medical emergency or extended family living with you, making it difficult to work from home, you could find a temporary co-working space.
What you need is a solution-seeking mindset.
Some complexities require extra effort and more time to resolve, but if you believe you can solve them, sooner or later, you will.
