MEASURING YOUR DAY DIFFERENTLY: JOY, PEACE, AND PRESENCE OVER HUSTLE

Do you have a habit of revisiting your day and evaluating it?

If you’re into journaling, you might find yourself sitting with a pen in hand, opening a current-dated page, and reflecting on the events of the day.

How do you measure your day? What are your parameters?

Do you simply categorize it as a good day or a bad day? If so, how do you judge your day and allocate it to one of these options?

Is it based on the money you earned, the success you achieved, or the appreciation you received?

Have you considered measuring your day by how much you made others laugh or how beautifully you avoided conflicts?

If nothing significant happened but you still felt at peace, wouldn’t you consider it a good day?

Yesterday we talked about the side effect of glorifying toughness; today, let’s cancel another pressurizing glorification of a “successful day” or a “productive day.”

📌Dull-looking days are good days too.

📌Non-eventful days are happy days too.

📌Challenging days that enhance your abilities are meaningful days too.

📌The days you spent crying with friends, and sharing their weak moments, are also productive days.
